Shiti Dhar Peak

MIR7 at the summit of Shiti Dhar Peak,
5253m, after 3.5 hours of push from high camp!
On the 5th of June 2008, 0745am, all 5
members of MIR7 made it to the summit of Shiti Dhar Peak, 5253m.
The climb was a finale to the 14-day Technical Mountaineering
Course (TMC). After MIR6, MIR7 is the next batch to be sent to India for
the course, with all previous batches attended their course in New
Zealand. The climb also marks the successful completion of the
course and a new batch of mountaineers born! Read more about it

MIR6 is sharing their
experiences with all travel and adventure enthusiasts in NUS
and Singapore!
Their article "Going Green
With Altitude - Mountaineering India", which writes of their
adventures in the Indian Himalayas is being published in
latest issue of Sports + Travel Magazine.
MIR6 also share their story
with the NUS community. An article is also published in the
August issue of NUS Sportlight Magazine, which gives the
latest updates of the sporting events in NUS.

Make It Real 7
The team was recruited and formed in August
2007, currently the 7th batch of the club. Right now
team MIR7 consist of 5
members, led by team leader Mr Ashok Narandran.
Having just completed the Technical
Mountaineering Course (TMC), the team is now gearing up for
the expedition next year, undergoing intensive physical
training, organizing various events, doing marketing to find
sponsors, and at the same time, having to cope with the
demands of academic work. On top of that, they also have to
lead and manage the junior team, MIR8, which will
be recruited in August.
Make It Real 6
The successful summit bid on Mera Peak concluded MIR6's 2 years course.
The team has for past year trained hard, raised funds for their final
expedition, and bashed through difficult times. Now, their efforts had paid off well.
